I am so forgetful!

I said I would maintain this blog and in a fashion I have. However, I don't really believe for one second that one post every 13 months is really sufficient by even the standards of a Bogota based Drug Addict.
Ok, my blog Mark 2.
What have I been doing this past 13 months....
Well, for those of you unfortunate readers who actually care, I have done many things.
It wouldn't be an understatement to say that I haven't stopped except to sleep!
I'll start by listing all international destinations I have visited since the last post.
November 2005: Poland
December 2005: Poland (To Poznan. I didn't get a chance to see the city in November when I spent the night there due to a cancelled flight).
March 2006: Poland AGAIN (I visited Poznan with friend and more notably Wine Merchant Ryan McDonough)
April 2006: France, USA and Spain
June 2006: Italy (Sicily)
July 2006: Italy (Milan)
October 2006: France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Mongolia, China, Hong Kong and Singapore
I've created this list for one reason, I am a proud Dromomaniac!
The October trip was something rather different though. I can now actually say that I travelled from London to Hong Kong overland!
I have never been on a trip like this before. I have always enjoyed every trip I have ever taken but spending 6 days on a train from Moscow to Beijing is something that you should all do. It will open your eyes to how life is for the citizens of the world's largest country, how to improvise when trying to go about your daily business, the cuisine, the culture and the drink!
I could go on forever but I will say that the best element of the journey the social aspects! You meet so many people.
All nationalities, all backgrounds, all with their own reasons for making this journey.
However, the one thing that everybody has in common is that nobody can rush this journey and this allows for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that encourages people to be themselves.
By the last day, the moving village atmposhere is felt by all and sadness kicks in at the prospect of rejoining mainstream society.
I won't say much more in this post as I shall become too boring for even the most patient reader.
I will now sign off but please standby for further announcements. This blog is not over!!!
